Best 100 Online Shopping

Shopping and Buying Online with the Best 100 Sites.

I love shopping malls. I like the antique malls where you go in and there are 50 different stores in one building. I love to go to the mall, get a drink and watch people. But, I don't like the excessive walking, especially around the holidays. So, I feel just like I have died and gone to Heaven when I first became acquainted with online shopping. I love searching for items and then hopefully getting a discount. Not having to get in my car and fight the traffic is a big plus for me. The more pictures and information online stores have, the better.

I like to be able to "just about" touch the item online. I look for any guarantees; for a return policy and if I can I will use PayPal. I love PayPal. It is so easy to use and I feel more secure financially when using my account and doing shopping through one location. If it is not clear as to the details of the product I want and I cannot get more information from the site, I don't buy.

So, I recommend you give it a try. And when shopping online, don't forget about your creative juices. Don't have any? That is hard to believe. I recommend you stop by and visit Squidoo. Look around and then join. It's free. I am sure you have something to say; maybe something to share. What about that special craft project that you have been working on and finally completed. Maybe someone else wants to know how to finish theirs. Meantime, check out my site and happy shopping!

Following in the Footsteps of Those Who Brought you Social Security and Medicare

Quote:

"We come before you to follow in the footsteps of those who gave our country Social Security and then Medicare," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said.

Well, I believe it is sad that the American people had to become so dependent on such entitlement programs and upon the government. Legislation is going to spend over one trillion dollars to provide a new health care program to the American people. It is designed to extend coverage to 36 million Americans. (Where does that leave all the illegal immigrants?) Hang on to your wallets folks, tough times are still ahead!

Dismantling America

By Thomas Sowell

Just one year ago, would you have believed that an unelected government official, not even a Cabinet member confirmed by the Senate but simply one of the many "czars" appointed by the President, could arbitrarily cut the pay of executives in private businesses by 50 percent or 90 percent?

Did you think that another "czar" would be talking about restricting talk radio? That there would be plans afloat to subsidize newspapers-- that is, to create a situation where some newspapers' survival would depend on the government liking what they publish?

Did you imagine that anyone would even be talking about having a panel of so-called "experts" deciding who could and could not get life-saving medical treatments?

Scary as that is from a medical standpoint, it is also chilling from the standpoint of freedom. If you have a mother who needs a heart operation or a child with some dire medical condition, how free would you feel to speak out against an administration that has the power to make life and death decisions about your loved ones?

MORE DEBT TO THE DEFICIT!

Surging US deficit under scrutiny

By P. Parameswaran (AFP) – 13 hours ago

WASHINGTON — The staggering fiscal deficit plaguing President Barack Obama's administration comes under focus Tuesday as the White House and a financial scrutiny arm of Congress provide new government budget estimates and updated economic forecasts.

The White House Office of Management and Budget will release at 9:30 am (1330 GMT) Tuesday the mid-term review of the federal government budget for fiscal year 2010 beginning October 1, the OMB said in a statement Monday.

The Congressional Budget Office, a statutory watchdog which plays a critical support role to lawmakers by providing cost estimates, said it would give its own update on the budget and economic outlook about half an hour after the White House released its report.

The White House is expected to project a further increase of two trillion dollars in its 10-year budget deficit forecast even as it trims the current budget estimates, Obama administration officials said.

The projected streak of red ink could further push up national debt levels as the nation reels from an economic crisis and adds pressure on Obama to scale back his ambitious healthcare overhaul plan.

Oppose Abortion As A Government Mandate

Freedom of Choice for some is not Freedom of Choice for others!

All Americans will be affected by Government Abortion Mandate. If this mandate passes in its current state, it will affect many individuals and organizations. Faith-based companies and hospitals, churches, pro-life organizations will be require to include abortion coverage in their insurance plans. No one should be forced to contribute to an act that they do not believe is morally viable. Where is "freedom of choice" for those who do not want this forced upon them?

I do not believe taxpayers or private insurance companies should be required to fund abortion. Outside of a true risk to a mother's life, I do not believe an abortion is justifiable. Therefore, I believe Americans should not have to pay taxes to support such a despicable act; the taking of life. We have loving people in American who want to adopt these babies and I feel this is the only option to protect God's creation.

It is not the government's job to provide funding for the mis-guided, and irresponsible actions of people. Where is the responsibility for self, or accountability to family and society? Government should not be in the business of rewarding people for their bad choices.

Secondly, the cost to the American taxpayer alone is truly unthinkable and a drain to the economy. Abortion is a big money maker for doctors and family planning clinics. This is evident from the large monies that are being generated. Lobbying groups now are spending $1.4 million a day on health care reform legislation. Cost of current proposals estimate at $1.6 trillion over 10 years. Our current Administration is aggressively pushing for speedy approval in Congress.

For the sake of millions of unborn babies, please contact your Representatives in Washington and tell them you do not want to see a government mandated abortion coverage plan in health care reform.

THE PATRIOTICKLE SPEAKS OUT

In Honduras, freedom is fighting for its life. Hell...it seems as though the citizens of the world, are fighting to keep what freedom they have left all together.

Left leaning news continues to characterize the transition in Honduras, as a Military-coup. It was NOT...a Military-coup. It was lawful and democratic.

The Hondurans have a democracy similar to that of America. They have three houses of government, and a "CONSTITUTION". The removal of the wanna-be dictator was, totally and in all ways legal. The Honduran Government had absolute authority to present its case to their Supreme Court (which is the entity that gave the final approval). They did...they won...the wanna-be dictator lost! FREEDOM PREVAILED...for now. Hail to the rights of the people of Honduras.

Romeo Vásquez (Chief of the Armed Forces of Honduras) said that "We have followed the laws of the country." --Retrieved from (from the bottom of the page): http://eng.laprensa.hn/Ediciones/2009/07/28/Noticias/Romeo-We-reiterate-our-support-for-the-government , July 30, 2009.

Vasquez continues: "The order came from the Supreme Court."

Obama's Science Czar's Take On Population Control

Alert, Alert, Alert!
People wake up! Please write your elected representatives and let them know something should be done about the over use of czars; appointed with little or no vetting system or any input from Congress.

Obama science czar Holdren called for forced abortions 'Comprehensive Planetary Regime could control development, distribution of all natural resources'

John Holdren

The man President Obama has chosen to be his science czar once advocated a shocking approach to the "population crisis" feared by scientists at the time: namely, compulsory abortions in the U.S. and a "Planetary Regime" with the power to enforce human reproduction restrictions.

"There exists ample authority under which population growth could be regulated," wrote Obama appointee John Holdren, as reported by FrontPage Magazine. "It has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society."

DON'T FALL FOR CAP AND TAX

Don't Fall for Cap and Tax

Barack Obama promised that he won't raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000 a year. He neglected to mention that this tax exemption will go only to those who don't use electricity, gasoline, heating oil, or natural gas.

The truth of the matter is that Obama will raise taxes on practically all middle-class Americans. But that's not all; in addition to new taxes on all those necessities (just think of all the appliances in your home that use electricity), he will drastically reduce our standard of living.

Obama warned during his campaign in Oregon that we can no longer keep our homes set at 72 degrees (warmed in the winter and cooled in the summer), eat whatever foods we want (if, like meat and milk products, they come from cows that have to be fed), and drive SUVs (to accommodate our family and friends). He said we cannot continue to consume 25 percent of the world's resources when we have only 4 percent of the world's population.

But why not? Americans have built a free-enterprise, private-property, rule-of-law, respect-for-contracts, innovation-receptive society that has enabled us to enjoy the highest standard of living in the world. We designed it by adoption of our unique and long-lasting U.S. Constitution, we worked for it and we paid for it, so why can't we enjoy the fruits of our labor?

This increase in our taxes and decrease in our standard of living is being sold under the slogan "cap and trade," which means giving the government the power to put a cap on the amount of carbon emissions (CO2) produced by the production of electricity, gasoline, and heating oil, and forcing businesses to buy permits for the emissions they are allowed. The process should be called "cap and tax": a cap in our standard of living, and a tax (an increase in cost) on our use of products whose manufacture emits CO2.

The Obama administration hopes that increased energy costs will force us to shift away from the use of fossil fuels to various alternatives. To nuclear plants? The left won't tolerate that. To windmills and solar panels to capture wind and sun? They now provide less than 1 percent of our energy, so the gain won't be much even if we double or triple the output. To "clean coal technology"? More likely, cap and trade would just kill the coal industry.

JOHN ADAMS QUOTE

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other."

JULY 4 - Time For Tea

The American people came out on July 4 to protest high taxes and run-a-way government spending. From 11:00 till 2:00 p.m., citizens of Ventura, CA came out to show their support for less taxes and less government interference. As a spectator and one who attended the first Ventura Tea Party, I would say we doubled the turnout of patriots.

All across the country the signs, flags and banners that were carried at the tea parties showed the position that the American people are taking toward its government. They are mad and they are not going to take it anymore!

BIO..
I am a relatively new blogger who is hoping to expand her blogging wings on this site. I am not new to computers, or the Internet, or writing, but this thing called blogging has captivated me.

I can remember a time when writing and receiving letters was exciting. And, if we look back into history, it was an art. Good penmanship was a part of one's character. When did we stop communicating with flair? Or did we always have it, and because we are basically lazy creatures, the Internet has encouraged it to emerge up out of us.

I believe we have always had it. I have recently discovered lenses. I found Squidoo. It allows you to be creative utilizing your writing on topics or field of interest you love. You can be creative, show your style, put in some pictures and, if that is not enough, maybe generate a little money as well. So, I invite you to check out one of my lenses at www.squidoo.com/thingsloved.

I wonder if most of you know what your going to do come voting time? I am not to thrilled with my choices. With the issues on immigration, America's involvement in the Middle East, and the National Debt......I am not sure there is a candidate out there who will do what he/she says they will do. And, can we afford it?

I am concerned about the family. I want to know what is going to happen with education and what cultural issues my granddaughter will face in 16 years. I've just written a new lens and would like feedback regarding it. Take a moment and visit www.squidoo.com/generationborn2008

DANIEL WEBSTER ON VOTING.

"When you become entitled to exercise the right of voting for public officers, let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers, "just men who will rule in the fear of God." The preservation of government depends on the faithful discharge of this duty; if the citizens neglect their duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted; laws will be made, not for the public good so much as for selfish or local purposes; corrupt or incompetent men will be appointed to execute the laws; the public revenues will be sqandered on unworthy men; and the rights of the citizens will be violated or disregarded. If a republican government fails to secure public prosperity and happiness, it must be because the citizens neglect the divine commands, and elect bad men to make and administer the laws. "
