I don't know about you, but when it comes to nutrition, I am always wanting to know more. I am a "senior" and we will leave it at that. Lately, each morning has been a challenge. I seem to have more aches and pains and my body is not really up-to-par until I get all the kinks out, which usually is a few hours later. Well, I started to do my own research on what helps with stiffness, joint pain, and what just might generally be helpful but more natural to use. I came across an interesting article: "The potential, do-it-yourself treatment for Alzheimer's you can get at your local pharmacy" by Jonathan V. Wright, M.D. Even though I wasn't looking for a cure or any help with Alzheimer's, Dr. Wright's information lead me to what I was searching for, joint pain relief
.
Niacinamide (also known as nicotinamide of the vitamin B3) family can help with joint pain. This is a relatively inexpensive food source. I have only started this journey but I am hoping, if research is as indicate, I will find relief in niacinamide. So this is not an endorsement but a "sharing" of discovered information that I thought was important to blog about.
Please got to Dr. Wright's web site and check his research via his newsletters. It will only cost you time and may well put you on a path that provides helpful information for your nutritional needs.

Let us not forget our Veterans during this Memorial Day weekend: A salute to America's United States Armed Forces and all who served and are serving!
Why can't we have more truthful people in the White house? Why do men become easily corrupt? Where are today's honest men and women? Does it take a judge to say what most of us feel? Judge Jeanie Pirro has stated it perfectly when it comes to Obama. Please take a moment and listen to her speak.
I would love to see the faces on the men who served at the first Continental Congress if they could return to see the lawlessness, ignorance or stupidity, unreliable, unmoral, egotistical words and actions coming out of Congress and Washington D.C. today. Faces of men like Patrick Henry, Samuel Adams, George Washington, or Thomas Paine who laid the foundation which allows us to have the freedom of speech Judge Jeanine enjoyed utilizing. Or what Ben Franklin might write today about the Obama Administration if he could ease drop in on Obama, Biden, Clinton or, Attorney General Eric Holder - those who never seem to give a direct answer but who are so good at "dodging" the truth. Do you think old Ben wouldn't use his creative juices as he did in 1774 when he wrote his delicious satirical letter to Britain's Prime Minister suggesting the British impose martial law on the colonies and appoint a king over all of North America?

Mike Zullo, the lead investigator in Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s investigation of Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president, says he has returned from a second trip to Hawaii with additional evidence the state’s Department of Health is maintaining a cover-up of Obama’s 1961 birth records.
When Arpaio dispatched Zullo for the second trip, the assignment was kept confidential for Zullo’s safety and to prevent media leaks. Only Arpaio and the chief deputy of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office were aware of the assignment.continue: More of this article

A fun poem by me.
Peg Leg Joe
As the story goes, it was a bright spring day.
And out popped Spider Joe.
Seven good legs, Joe, has he.
But one leg is missing at the knee.
If you ask Spider Joe, what happened to his leg.
He will squint his one-patched eye and say,
"I had a mishap long, long, ago.
It's all because I tried to grab too many flies, you know?"

Come she what I am celebrating! These little guys to your right ware downtown Charlottesville, Virginia. As with any city, it has its art culture and the metal works of the giraffe caught the eye of my camera. We also had a wonderful day over at Monticello. Our trip was to see the country and Thomas Jefferson's home. If you are ever in the area, it is a must.
I was fortunate to take this trip to Richmond, Virginia June of this year, 2012, with a dear friend. We spent ten wonderful days seeing sights, experiencing some of the battlefields from the Civil War as well as soaking up the beautiful scenery. We participated in one of the Road Scholar's programs , which included well planned lecturers of Richmond's history, with field trips, including museums, tours and much more. All this including lodging accommodations and excellent food. If you have never heard of them, I suggest you check out their site as referenced above. Now, while out examining the battlefields in Petersburg, Virginia, we saw The "Dictator" (my photo to your left). This mortar, used by the Union forces, is located at the National Battlefield Park, Petersburg, VA. The 13 inch Mortar or "Dictator" participated in a nine and one-half month siege (June 1864 - April 1865). It could fire a 225 pound exploding shell up to 2 miles with the assistance of 14 pounds of black powder. The "Dictator" was said to have fired 218 rounds at Petersburg.May 6, 2012

National Defense Authorization Act - More Than Just Monies For The Military
Submitted by SemperFi on Mon, 11/28/2011 - 12:17
in Ron Paul 2012
Either Monday or Tuesday the Senate will vote on a bill that allows the US military to imprison civilians with no formal charges and hold them with no trial.
The ACLU reports even US citizens wouldn't be immune as the legislation aims to declare national territory part of the "battlefield" in the War on Terror.
Termed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and drafted behind closed doors by Senators Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) the NDAA would:
1) Explicitly authorize the federal government to indefinitely imprison without charge or trial American citizens and others picked up inside and outside the United States;
(2) Mandate military detention of some civilians who would otherwise be outside of military control, including civilians picked up within the United States itself; and
(3) Transfer to the Department of Defense core prosecutorial, investigative, law enforcement, penal, and custodial authority and responsibility now held by the Department of Justice.

POLITICAL WATCH
JULY 4 - Time For Tea
The American people came out on July 4 to protest high taxes and run-a-way government spending. From 11:00 till 2:00 p.m., citizens of Ventura, CA came out to show their support for less taxes and less government interference. As a spectator and one who attended the first Ventura Tea Party, I would say we doubled the turnout of patriots.
All across the country the signs, flags and banners that were carried at the tea parties showed the position that the American people are taking toward its government. They are mad and they are not going to take it anymore!
