It appears our government wants American citizens to end up like Mexico, where they say it's virtually impossible to buy a firearm in Mexico as a private citizen. I do not want to see that happen in American.
People wake up! The Declaration of Independence was written to provide for a way for citizens to protect themselves from a "runaway" government. The second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence wasn't written to sound pretty! It states, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness." The Second Amendment in the Constitution protects our right as citizens to bear arms (A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed).
The ATF, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, is trying to hang the blame for the flow of guns across the border on private citizens, gun stores and gun shows. The government wants to penalize the same people who abide by the rules that the criminals continuously break. The suggested changes will not stop the problems occurring at the border. Could it be that it is designed to suppress the American people? I believe the rights of we Americans are being infringed upon.
